You will never really understand the benefits of acupressure until you see it with your own eyes. The nervous system is intricately connected to other parts of the body. When you engage certain parts it affects another.
I've use acupressure on dogs from an animal shelter and the effect it has is almost immediate. I even had a dog just this week who was so terrified it was difficult getting him out of his kennel, begin to fall asleep standing up. He became instantly comfortable and his entire body changed.
You can even do this at home, although I would consult with a professional initially.
