Most of the tiny dogs I've met and or owned have some sort of anxiety. The Yorkie mix I had had separation anxiety and would poop or pee in the house if we were gone for more than a few hours at a time. The Havanese we have now has a little bit of separation anxiety, and whines or barks if he can't see us very well. The best ways to deal with it is to have them crate trained, try to comfort them with praise and affection, and keep them occupied with toys, treats, and games.
