Agility training, especially in a class setting, is NOT a good time to work on your dog's interpersonal skills.
A dog that is stressed by the other dogs around him is not going to be able to focus on learning new skills, especially ones that require focus, like agility training.
What agility training can do, however, is build your dog's confidence. When your dog spends time with you learning new skills and gets sufficient exercise, he gains confidence in his own abilities, and in the bond between the two of you. This confidence carries over to new situations, like when meeting other dogs.
