In my opinion, early and frequent socialization is the key to having a happy, well-adjusted dog. Exposing your dog to the sights, sounds, and smells of the world around them is incredibly important to having a confident dog when they are an adult. Meeting all sorts of new people and dogs at a young age teaches dogs that strangers are often friendly, and can reduce any incidents of aggression based on fear. Overall, socialization should be one of your main goals for the first 4-16 weeks of your puppy's life.
