Dobermans do not come with an "off" switch, especially when they are young. I was already bringing him to obedience classes when our instructor mentioned we should try puppy agility. He loved it so much we moved up to a regular agility class once he was two years old and fully developed. We had so much fun bonding and playing, he would be tired for the rest of the day after class.
Just be sure to not do too many jumps, and turns until your dog is fully developed (around 2 years old), you don't want to put extra strain on the joints while they are still developing.
There are a lot of tutorials on the internet for DIY agility equipment, which we use at home for fun.
