There are two main underlying causes of GER, recent anesthesia and chronic vomiting. While recent anesthesia is a clear cut case, diagnosing the cause of chronic vomiting can be tricky. One of most important parts of the treatment, if not the most important part, in cases of chronic GI problems, is dietary modification, particular type diet depends on the specific condition, but most of them require some kind of special diet.
This particular diet can be used in dogs with "sensitive stomachs", but it has a bit more fat and about 25% more protein then recommended for GI problems.
You can try it and see how your dog does on it, but I would recommend using some diet designed specifically for GI problems like Hill's i/d or Royal Canin gastrointestinal.
Due to the fact that it's based on Salmon and rice it can be used as novel protein in elimination diet trials, if the cause of your dogs problem is suspected to be food allergy/intolerance, unless of course you feed salmon to your dog regularly.
