Recent study from the University of Pennsylvania has shown that standardized polysaccharopeptide (PSP) extract from turkey tail mushroom used as a single agent increased survival time, delayed development of metastases and improved overall health of dogs with naturally occurring splenic HSA.
Study used "I'm-Yunity" which was the only standardized high quality product on the market at the time. It produced dose dependent increase in survival time, dog who received highest dost (100mg/kg of PSP) had median survival times of 199 days, which is longer then conventional treatment with Doxorubicine (~140 days). (since then a study which used combination of Doxorubicine/Dacarbazine had the best results so far with 550 days, it was also a small study so this treatment still requires further investigation.)

UoP study with "I'm-Yunity" was randomized, double blind, though a small study of 15 dogs, but given that anticancer properties of Turkey tail mushroom extracts are well documented both in vitro and in vivo, there is no reason not to be hopeful. More studies are necessary to produce robust enough body of evidence in order for us to be able to recommend this treatment instead of robustly proven effects of conventional chemotherapy.
I wouldn't recommend that you ignore other treatment and just used these extracts, despite the treatment shows promise, it was a small study, and we can't still relay on this extract entirely, but it can be useful adjunct to conventional treatment, since these extracts don't seem to produce negative effects nor have unwanted interactions with conventional chemotherapy.
