The Detailed Veterinary Examination is a vital part of the diagnostic process for any sick pet. In the case of pancreatitis, your vet will look for recognisable symptoms such as your pet adopting a "prayer position" to stretch out the uncomfortable abdomen, and being tense or flinching on examination of the abdominal area. While a detailed examination will not give a definitive diagnosis of pancreatitis, it can give strong indicators which can guide your vet to the next steps of the diagnostic and treatment plan.
