With MRI it is possible to see neoplasms and metastasis that are not visible on X-Rays or CT because of small sizes. So with MRI it is easier to make prognosis and also to prepare before surgery if it can be performed. Also it is safer for Your dog because magnetic field don't do any harm for Your dog while X-rays and CT using X-radiation that generally are not considered as healthy one.
