It's basically a "novel protein diet", which can be very effective in some cases of chronic vomiting and/or diarrhea, inflammatory bowel disease, skin disease that are consequence of nutritional allergies etc. So if your dogs anal sac disease is due to one of these issues it will help a lot.
However, for it to work, you have to be absolutely certain that your dog hasn't eaten this kind of meat from which protein in this food is sourced, at least 2 months before symptoms starter, and even better if they never ate it.
This food is a for of therapy, and even you should always consult your veterinarian about using it, it's not really the issue of you doing any damage, but it might just be a waste of money or treatment if you use it for wrong conditions or in a wrong way.
