And Witch Hazel is especially great for cleaning cats ears. I have rescued a few strays and they all usually have pretty dirty ears. After ruling out ear mites of course, I use witch hazel. It works great and I love the smell of it. It's also a good product to clean scratches or other wounds on your outdoor cats. Some of my outdoor cats would get into fights with neighbor cats and come home with a few scratches. I would simply put some witch hazel on a cotton ball and clean their wounds with that. I feel it's a lot safer and easier on their skin than other cleaners.
