I used to try and give my cats a bath every year during flea season, and they absolutely hate it! They would always squirm, scratch, bite, kick, and claw (one cat even found a way to jump over the six foot tall shower door to get away!), I would get scratched at least once, the cats would be miserable and a few weeks later they would start getting fleas again... Not to mention that I disliked the using the shampoos in the first place. After all if it is killing the fleas then what is it doing to the cat? If a cat was really bad off with fleas and nothing else worked I might do it, but other than that I think that cats do just fine at bathing themselves.
