Recently my three-year-old dog was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and although the condition can be treated, the medications used to save her life took a toll on her poor stomach. Although her bloodwork improved, her overall condition did not because she couldn't keep anything down.
The vet recommended that we start feeding her Hill's I/D and although she didn't want to eat it at first because of nausea, she soon scarfed it down. Soon she couldn't get enough to eat! It's made giving her medications easier too since she needs to take them on a full stomach.
I was so worried that we would have to start force feeding her or hospitalize her if she didn't start eating soon but this food was exactly what she needed! Gentle on her stomach and now she's doing great!
