Many owners do not think much about dental health, but let me tell you about my experience; many of my client's dogs, and that mostly includes small breeds have teeth problems. Because of bad diet, dogs develop problems early. I have dogs as young as 3 or 4 ears that undergo anesthesia once a year because of dental problems. It is not necessary, and it is not healthy, and it is a risk. After a while, problems will get worse, dogs will lose their teeth, and other great problems will occur. This will affect the longevity of your pet.
Malocclusion is abnormal placement of teeth;abnormal contact with other teeth or soft tissue that results in pain .
Malocclusion is sometimes a result of primary (baby) to secondary teeth so it is important to follow through this process and not to miss dental checks in puppies. Early detection of some dental problems can lead to complete correction.
