Snakes can be finnicky creatures, and don't need as much interaction as animals such as dogs. Some species of snake will prefer to be handled much less than others, but it will also be up to the individual snake as well.
Handling is good for your snake as it allows them to adjust to you and you moving them around, but it should be done in reason. Snakes should not be handled for a few days after eating as this could cause regurgitation, and should not be held when in blue (when shedding).
