I Don't Get Why People Like These

My mother was a teacher growing up, and one day she decided to bring the class pet reeses (after the peanut butter cup) home. I tried really hard to have fun with this animal, but I can't say I ever did. I know that a lot of people seem to love them, and I truly am glad you have found the pet for you, I just don't get it. My hamster was almost always hiding, he never moved much, didn't like being held, and whenever I put him in his ball-he just stood and stared at me! What kind of boring pet doesn't do anything? Also, the cage was a pain to clean and smelled horrible all the time. Honestly, I have owned a lot of pets in my life, but after my experience with this guy I have never had the desire for another guinea pig.
