I have a male hamster named Chester right now. He is a Syrian. He is the most beautiful hamster I have ever seen (and I've own over 14 hamsters in a length of time). Sometimes hamsters turn out to be a bad temperment but, Chester has the best personality ever. He is very friendly. He loves to be held and touched. Sometimes, he'll hear me open up his cage and he'll come running out of his house. I'll be fillinf his food dish and he'll be trying to crawl on my hand and up my arm. I hold him everyday so it's not like he's being ignored. I also figured out that he ABSOLUTELY LOVES to exercise. During the day, I'll see him running on his wheel. He loves his ball and always runs all around my house when I put him in it. When I change his cage he always runs in it. He also loves to run in the grass. I have a big backyard and it is realy clean and I always pick up all the leaves and sticks and dog mines. Sometimes, if it's not too hot but not too cold out I'll bring Chester outside with me. I'll put him inthe grass and let him run around and I'll follow on my knees. It may sound weird but, Chester LOVES it. He like, understands what I'm doing. I'll crawl behind him and every little while, he'll stop and look at me then keep on running. He's SO cute. The only thing about him that I have never had a problem with any of my other hamsters is the camera. He is VERY camera shy. As soon as he hears the camera being turned on he runs away and hides in his house. I don't want to scare him so I don't chase after him.
