Bear the Guinea Pig

We only rescued Bear the guinea pig from the animal shelter a few weeks ago but already his adorable little "eep eep eeps!" are a beloved fixture in our household. Bear is as cute as his name is misleading, constantly finding new ways to entertain his ever-doting owners. My little sister is especially fond of Bear, forever carrying him around with her or bringing him to the dinner table like one of the family!

As far as maintenance is concerned, silkie guinea pigs require more in the way of grooming and attention than your average cat or dog. And as much as the human side of the family loves Bear, we have to extra careful to make sure he never gets left alone with our terrier puppy Buddy!
