The Persian Jird is somewhat slender fast and nimble species of gerbil from the Persian gulf. They are a highly active spécies and are generally very nervous and timid when they first arrive home. This changes very quickly once they realise that the hand that enters their cage is not trying to hurt them but provides food, affection and warm. They soon tame down and grow to love their owner's company. I would recommend this animal as a good starter pet for kids or adolescents as long as their is parental help s to not neglect the animal. A great species for kids and people looking for a cute furry animal that can live in apartments or a bedroom.
