Rabbits belong in the wild

Rabbits are extremely cute when you see them hopping across your front lawn on a nice spring day, but they really don't belong in a house. I always felt bad for my rabbit because he didn't get to run free in the outdoors and had to stay in his cage most of the time, tucked away in the dark basement because there was no other place for him. A rabbit may seem like a low maintenance pet, but it is the complete opposite. Dogs are easier to have than rabbits! It's just the constant cleaning of the cage and neediness that got me. Also, I am allergic to rabbits so every encounter with my own pet caused me to be very uncomfortable. If you are up to taking care of a rabbit, go ahead, but don't expect it to be easy.
