I adopted Domino a few years ago from a breeder as I had always wanted a mini lop rabbit.
She was well handled from a young age by her breeder, which has definitely helped. However, like most rabbits she really doesn't like being picked up! I try not to as much as possible, instead she likes to follow me around the garden and take treats from my hand.
I've had her neutered too as girls can be at risk from uterine cancer, and so far she hasn't gained much weight as I am watching her food intake. Otherwise I would say she is a great pet but is more suited to an adult rather than a child as she doesn't like being held.
Luckily she has always been very healthy, with no teeth problems. The breed can be predisposed to this due to their short heads, so buying from a breeder can ensure that there are no teeth problems in the rabbits pedigree. All in all though, I would highly recommend mini lops as pets! They are very inquisitive and love being around you.
