I do not recommend mini lop rabbits for inexperienced owners. Ms. Pettigru was difficult to work with. Even after intense training, she bit wood furniture and people. Sometimes she made a screeching noise that I had never encountered from a rabbit before. After showing rabbits in 4-h for 9 years I was surprised to see how different MIni Lops are from meat rabbits. While I enjoyed how cute and cuddly she was, she did not enjoy cuddling. From a young age we played with her for many hours a day but she was never happy.
Keeping her clean was fairly easy if I kept up on my part.
She ate grains and veggies and she loved lettuce.
I do not recommend mini lops for anyone who is busy or has small children.
