The fuzziest ball of love

I absolutely love spending time with my chinchilla. For most of the day, she stays in her cage in the living room so she can be around the family and other pets. I have a small office space where I let her run, jump and play with me and my dogs for an hour or two a day, which usually tires her out. The pros of a chinchilla: very clean overall (just clean up droppings), no odor, enjoys engaging people and pets in playtime, is hypoallergenic, and responds fairly well to basic commands like "no" and "come". The cons: they do sometimes bite, though it doesn't hurt much, they have sharp little claws that will leave small cuts if they land on or jump off of your skin, they will chew on just about anything, and if they get loose, it can be extremely difficult to get them back in their cage.
