We LOVE our holland lop, Berry. He has been the best pet for us. We got Berry when he was 8 weeks old, for my son's birthday present. I have three children under the age of 8, and Berry is excellent with all of them. He's more than happy to be held and played with. We're currently working on litter training him. Berry has the tenancy to pee on you if you've held him for a while, so we're working on this. Other than that, he uses the restroom in his litter box, even in his cage. We had a couple incidents when Berry has nipped the kids fingers a couple times, but they are so easy to train, we've gotten him to stop these behaviors. The negative part to having rabbits as pets, is the smell from the cage. But if you keep up on changing the bedding at least once a week, we've found that this really helps eliminate any smelly build up. Rabbits do poop a LOT, so be prepared when you let them out, if your rabbit is not litter trained, you will have a bunch to clean up. Overall, the pro's outweigh the cons, and I highly suggest rabbits as pets!
