I feel like these little mice are awesome pets. However, you cannot have only one as a pet - they are very social and you must have at least two. In fact, the more of them you have, the better the mice will act. They are even-tempered, and they love to be held (as long as you keep them properly socialized and hold them often). The best thing about these mice as pets is that they don't smell bad. Their cage can be changed as little as every few weeks (some people say a month, but I would change it before that), and it won't smell, nor be filled with feces, because their peeing and pooping is really so small and negligible it is easy to let it go far longer than other pets. They don't need a whole lot of special considerations, nor do they need special bedding, although there are things to avoid, as with all pets. Do your research before buying one, but I highly recommend them. I never had any problems with them.
