Dutch are an excellent breed for children 8 years or older. They are great for 4H and youth rabbit showing. These are midsize rabbits that are generally laid back. Does can become irritable after giving birth. Easy to keep and care for as a family pet but generally tough to breed for adult rabbit hobbyist as the breed standard has very nit picky requirements on markings and the average 1-2 offspring may be decently marked for showing.
