I bought this American rabbit once, I named him Bolt because everybody perceives rabbit as a lightening fast animal. But little did I know that he was actually pretty lazy and lethargic. I mean, I am trying to sound not so negative, but by general experience with Bolt was not a particularly happy one.
As I've mentioned before, I am more of a cat person. But when I was 18 years old, I decided to give another pet a try. I bought a rabbit that was very white and clean, looked energetic from the off and I was pretty eager to have him display his talents on a daily basis.
So I bought Bolt because I wanted to give a chance to animals other than feline. The rabbit was lazy, didn't like doing absolutely anything at all, which really got on my nerve. Once, I was showing him to a friend of mine, and he bit the dude who was just simply rubbing his back. I don't know if rabbits are all rude like that, but Bolt was. This experience of mine really changed my mind when it came to owning pets other than cats, and true to my resolve, I haven't owned a pet other than a cat ever since.
