This rabbit was a pain from day one. My sister begged my father to get her one, despite his assertions that it was essentially a big rat, an opinion with which I agree. The rabbit liked to bite. At first we chalked this up to it being young and nervous, but over the two years we owned it the biting only got worse. It was jittery, didn't like to be petted or played with, it basically just wanted to be fed and left alone. My sister made the mistake of letting it run free around the house and lost it. Two weeks later we noticed an awful smell coming from the couch: the rabbit had crawled inside and died. My sister was heartbroken and we had to replace the couch. Perhaps this experience is not typical of rabbits, but I can unequivocally state that I will never recommend that anyone own a rabbit.
