My guinea pig

I had thought about getting a guinea pig for awhile when I got the one I have now. I was in the local pet store, (for what reason I don't remember any more), and he was there in a cage. He'd been taken to the store to be rehomed, so I saw him and bought him. I have been very happy with my guinea pig, I think he is absolutely adorable. His fur has a lot of cowlicks in it, and I think they give him a lot of character and charm. He is an all white guinea pig, but is not an albino. He is very well behaved. He loudly talks to me to let me know he wants to be fed, even when he has some food, so I indulge him in his favorite treats, which are carrots and hay, every day. I also feed him his guinea pig pellets every day. I make sure he has water at all times. He is very good about being handled, although he does like to nibble a bit on my clothing when I'm holding him, but he doesn't make any holes in it. He is a very sweet-tempered little guy, and is very pleasant to have around. I find that he is very easy to love and very easy to take care of. He needs to have his house cleaned about once a week. I use regular pine shavings. I would definitely recommend owning a guinea pig. They really do make great pets!
