I have 6-7 month old male Teddy guinea pig. When I got him he was healthy and still is. He is probably the only pet that grows and grows and will never lose his cuteness!
I purchased a male guinea pig from a pet store 6-7 months ago, and I love him! He's very affectionate, squeaks quite often, and loves to run around and play in the house. Make sure you feed your guinea pig plenty of hay and pellets, and a variety of fresh veggies. If you have the option to get two guinea pigs instead of just one, please do so! They will most likely be happier with a cage mate, just make sure they have a large cage.
He has been great additions to the home and is so much fun to play with. I have had him for 6-7 months now and he has shown no signs of health problems, which is always something to check for when purchasing animals, no matter where you buy them. Guinea pigs have fun little personalities, are clean and easy to care for, and are inexpensive.
I recommend it to people who took care of fish, and now want a different and also easy pet. Also take time to research as much as possible about guinea pigs before buying them and it will be very easy to care for and love your new pets.
