They came to me as patients. There were two gigantic, smashing red foot tortoises. I had to calculate their age and weight. The owner got them from a relative who got them from another relative. They were about 40-50 years old and weighted around 20-25 kilos each! They were healthy in general but I did notice they had grown up in limited spaces. They walked on the ground part of the time but not enought to prevent them from having semi-stiff deformed limbs due to the time spent in enormous cages above the soil level. Still they were lively, gorgeous, and awesome animals! They fed on a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and minced meat. We bathed them and played with them every time they had a medical recheck. I saw them for seven years but afterwards the owner moved and I didn't see them again.
