This is one of the most beautifully-colored and variable of the Asian ratsnakes; however, it is not often available in the USA. Their needs differ a bit from more commonly-kept Asian and American ratsnakes. They do best when kept at 75-77 F, with a slightly warmer basking site, and they need both humid and dry areas. I've had my best results in large zoo exhibits, as they are very active and become stressed when crowded. Plan on a 75-100 gallon tank for a moderately sized animal; large adults really need a homemade cage. I've always used mice as a food source...some report digestive problems when rats and other large food items are offered.
