Owning a Leopard Gecko

Leopard Geckos are a great specie for beginners. They don’t require a lot of space, they are easy to feed and they are quite beautiful creatures. I've always loved snakes, so I thought that if I ever wanted to own one, I might as well start with a lizard.
But as easy as it may be to take care of a Leopard Gecko, it was too much for me. I had to keep live crickets in my house to feed him, which would make noise during the night. We also had to keep on buying crickets and the place from where I bought them was a little far from my house, so it was quite inconvenient. Charlie, the gecko, was difficult to handle: he didn't liked to be touched; so it was hard for me to take him out of his terrarium in order to clean it. He also needed a special rock that would keep him warm, and for some reason the ones I bought would always break.
I ended up selling Charlie since I didn't feel like I could pay him all the attention that he needed.
To sum up, I think that Leopard Geckos are great lizards. But they just didn't work out for me.
