Green Whip Snake - Hierophis viridiflavus

The green Whip Snake (Hierophis viridiflavus) is a rare snake to find in the pet trade. They can survive in captivity but seldom thrive like most other colubrids would. This is quite a common species in the mediterranean region but is uncommon in the worldwide pet trade. They can be fed on tropical House Geckos and eventually on small mice but weaning them onto mice can be tricky. I would not recommend this snake to anyone but expert keepers who are prepared to do a great deal of research to keep them correctly. Not suitable as a pet.
