It’s a funny story how we got our iguana. One of our neighbors was mowing the lawn and saw it. He knew my family were animal lovers, so we took her in. We named her Wanda but we later found out that “she” was actually a “he!” We didn’t change his name because it was silly and a great story teller. Wanda lived in a huge custom tank in our basement. He had a large soaking area and branches to stretch across. We also had a large heating lamp to keep him nice and warm. We would feed him romaine lettuce and he loved tomatoes. We also use to bring our pet iguana on walks. We modified another animal’s harness to fit him. We would walk him to the park. He loved it. He did enjoy climbing the trees, so we had watch him carefully so he didn’t climb too high. He was mild mannered and enjoyed people. For any parties we would have at the house, we made sure to bring out Wanda and showcase him. He loved the attention. Iguanas are a great pet to have and perfect for any reptile lover.
