Green Anoles

I had 2 green anoles over the summer. They lived in my plant room which is my attic. I had a fungus gnat problem with my plants, and I bought them as a creative way to combat this problem, and also provided them with water and meal worms. My lizards enjoyed being in the plants, but they were very skittish. They also weren't very smart and weren't consuming enough food and water apparently, because they died in 3 months. I've read and researched other people have kept green anoles living happily this way, so I'm not sure what the problem was with mine. They weren't the greatest pets and are normally feeders for larger lizards. They are cute, though.
