The skink we had was really pretty. He was never mean and fun to hold, but wasn't as social as some of our other lizards. He often hid in his hollowed out log house. He also liked to hide down in the bedding on the bottom of his tank. Some times we had to come through the bedding to make sure he had not escaped (we had some lizards that did, but not Ember). He ate mealy worms and crickets. He preferred crickets, but we always kept the worms in the fridge as a back-up. They are pretty and gentle, but if you want a lizard to interact with a lot, there are better choices.
