These snakes make amazing pets in the right hands. They are among the most beautiful of the captive species. These snakes are however not for the faint of heart their latin name Corallus caninus is a reference to their long fangs used to penetrate the plumage of birds. These fangs coupled with their strongly defensive temperament can inflict some nasty bites. Dont get it as a first snake but definitely worth working up to. Come with a bit of a hefty price tag.
