Crocodile Gecko - Tarentola mauritanica

The Crocodile Gecko (Tarentola mauritanica) While a lot of gecko can be found in mostly regions like South America, this unique species actually comes from areas like France, Greece and even Northern Africa. Also, in a more recent reporting and discovery, it’s been reported that the species has been actively breeding in California as well. This is a very unique species of gecko and they are very exciting to keep and breed. I keep mine in vivariums measuring 60cm x 40cm x 40cm. They are very similar to Velvet Geckos and very much the same to keep. I would recommend this gecko really only to real gecko geeks. A different species and rarely seen in captivity.
