I had two Corn Snakes when I was younger, a male and a female. They are very beautiful snakes and they are not too big (around 1-1,5m). A smaller terrarium worked out well for them. They didn't move around a lot, they just loved to lay under the lamp and enjoy the heat.

I held them a lot in my hands, they loved to wrap around my wrist and stay like that. They also loved taking a bath very much. I often put water in a bowl for them so they could lay or swim in it.

They had eggs once but I couldn't provide the special lamp and environment that the eggs would've needed so they didn't hatche.

Feeding them was a little complicated. I had to separate them to make sure they wouldn't desire the same mouse and accidently eat eachother. I had a bag and I put one of them in it with his/her meal. When they are hungry they consider every moving thing as food. That's when the male bit me once. It happens, it didn't hurt beacuse these snakes don't have teeth, but it was a bad experience to me as a kid. I stopped holding them or taking them out after that.

I'd recommend this kind of snake to "beginners". They are friendly, love to be held and they don't have special needs. Just make sure you don't move your fingers a lot when you are feed them! :)
