Corn snakes are very easy going and beautiful creatures. They can be easy to handle with experience and are relatively easy to care for. Keep in mind when you get your young, 1 foot snake that they can grow to be 5' long on average. Though a small aquarium works for the young stage of your snakes life, you will need a 20 gallon tank at the minimum by adulthood. Though snakes are not social creatures, they are relatively known to be one of the more laid back breeds. Ragnar was exceptionally handleable and loved to slither around the carpet whenever permitted. You must be sure that your tank lid is always secure, because these little guys love to plot their next escape. Your corn snake has a simple diet of mice and water drank out of a large shallow bowl. If you are looking for a hands off pet who is very beautiful to admire from afar, the corn snake may be for you. Corn snakes are common in pet stores and you can find many various color variations which are all equally different and beautiful.
