Fosters was your run of the mill family turtle. He lived in a makeshift acquarian and my siblings and I were completely in awe. Fosters lived with us for about a year before being released into a reptilian exhibit at a wildlife preserve. He was shy, or scared, occasionally tried to bite so we had to watch our fingers, and ate live insects. These are good family pets provided you are willing to buy the necessary environment for them to be healthy.
