Common Map Turtle

I owned two common map turtles in the past years. After the first one died I knew that I needed another one to be a companion for me and my family. The most important advantage is the facility to take care of this type of animals. They don't need difficult conditions - only water, food (is really easy to find) and a place on the top of the water for basking. In the warmer months the aquarium needs to be cleaned frequently. During the hibernation period, that is not a problem, due to the inactivity of the turtle.
