The Amazing Collared Lizard

Pros: He is adorable and loves being handled! When you hang out with him, he always tries to find the warmest spots and falls asleep everywhere. Very affectionate and pretty cool looking, with white spots and a green body. It's pretty common that he has blue somewhere as well. His food is very easy to get; he can eat crickets, (about 11 cents each) earth worms, meal worms, daddy long legs, or fruits and vegatables.
Cons: Mostly the cons have to do with any type of lizard; He's reall small, only about a three inch body length. Since he is so tiny, I often worry that he'll get lost or crushed. He is, however, very fast-moving (collared lizard record speed is 16 mph) and pretty tough . He also tends to be very active at random parts of the day, so yes, he has woken me up on various occasions as he leaps across his tank. Another problem, which is extremely avoidable, is a fairly strong lizard smell if you don't clean out the tank enough. Every problem is worth it though! He is so sweet and cute, and I love him so much!
