Larry was a Blue Tongue lizard we rescued from our back garden when we found her with a broken hind leg. We had named her prior to her rescue and as the vet patched her up he told us that Larry was a female. We didn't mind. We took her back to our garden after her recovery and soon became an indoor lizard. She loved the heat, pats and most persuasively the generous supply of food.

She was an extremely chill lizard, happy to spend hours sitting on my shoulder while I read a book, or lazing on any sun soaked rock in the garden as she knew she had no predators while we were around. She was smart, easy to care for and cheap to feed. I would recommend the Blue Tongue lizard to any one who is gentle, and not expecting a high performing reptile.
