Antony and Cleopatra have extremely distinctive personalities - they will let you know straightaway if they are annoyed, with a good nip on the finger! These were not very painful experiences, though, and I've spent many lovely nights reading with a contented (and rather fat) skink draped across my shoulders. Their habitat is pretty easy to maintain, although you should make sure there is plenty of water under the heat lamps to keep up the humidity levels. At first, diet can be a problem, but they are omnivorous, so you should try out lots of foods, to see what your specific skinks prefer. Mine have garden snails, locusts to keep them busy, and a boiled egg with blueberries as a treat. Not the most aesthetically striking lizards, but in terms of handling and temperament, certainly the most rewarding!
