Out of all the Rainbow Boas, the COLOMBIAN RAINBOW BOA (not Columbian Rainbow Boa) is probably the best suited for captivity. They have a much better temperament. Although these are not the most attractive boas, they are truly wonderful to keep. Not everything is about good looks. I would highly recommend this snake as a beginner species for those keepers than would like a python of boa but don't have the space and time to look after bigger species. A phenomenal snake to keep and extremely interesting to breed.
