Chinese water dragon review

the Chinese water dragon has definitely been one of my more interesting lizard pets. his name is stitch and he is always ready for a chill session on his branch or to swim trough the water like a dinosaur. this lizard is very mellow and was often perfectly fine roaming free for short periods but always returned to his heating pad. his diet can be relatively simple as like many lizards he is always craving calcium powdered crickets. his cage should have a rain forest vibe to it and enough water for a dip, which can make the cage a bit of a hassle to clean but these are also some of the more clean lizards I've kept as well.

while this lizard is fun and carefree the cage can be a bit much on occasion if you let it go too long without cleaning it. while crickets will suffice fine for this lizard they do need to be live ones, this means usually spending money on fresh crickets regularly or having some form of cricket habitat in your house, although the crickets are easy and simple to take care of.

All in all this lizards nature is very relaxed and as long as you dont mind cleaning the cage and raising crickets its certainly a fun pet have around.
