My First Snake of my Own!

This snake is thought of as an intermediate species. However, I think it's just a slightly more advanced beginner. The humidity is thought of as a large challenge, but I easily solved that by covering the lid with plexiglass (with holes for air flow!). Brazilian Rainbow Boas are solid eaters, grow up to be quite calm, and are extremely beautiful. On the down side, they do have a nippy baby phase and stay hidden quite a bit. Mine is still very young, so I'm hoping he will come out more as he grows and feels less vulnerable. Overall, I would recommend this reptile as a second snake. He is my first, but I have cared for two snakes before, one of which has been long term. They are very beautiful animals and I can't wait to see mine grow up!
