Blue Spiny Lizard

I've always been attracted to spiny lizards of all types, but they are not very popular in the trade. They need huge enclosures...at least a 55 gallon tank for a trio, as they are active and easily stressed. They are a hands-off pet, but very interesting to watch as they hunt and even reproduce if all is well (they bear live young..no eggs to incubate!). Crickets alone will not do as a diet...mine feed on wild caught insects in the warm months, and 6-8 commercial species in winter.
